Very Happy

Shteevie a écrit:
Ok, so I think I'll start up with the Set 9 releases next week. This week will be really rough for me timewise - I'm helping my girlfriend get ready for 2 months in India for work.

To get you guys going, though, I have a few tidbits:

There is a bit of a difference between the level of completeness in sets 8 and 9, since the big layoff sweep happened during the end of set 9 development. For instance, many cards do not have ability names, and the placeholder names are a little more basic - we hadn't started the translation and transliteration processes. We also hadn't put the set through final editing, so I expect a minor typo here or there.

The Italians were originally developed for Set 6, I think, and were pushed back a couple of times to allow 'sexier' cultures to come in. As such, the way the abilities were worded doesn't precisely match the wordings that became standard in the Set 8 development. We were, of course, going to bring them in line with that wording style, but we didn't have the time to do so.

So, maybe the creative types on the boards here can help to fill in the ability names and change the names to the proper languages.

Also, there's a new card ability in Set 9 - the Stratagem. Cards with abilities like this will have the keyword 'Strat - 2'.

These are a bit like showing your hand to gain a benefit. When you select your support cards, you can display - face up - any number of Stratagem cards. If you display them, you must use them in that game.

When a stratagem card is revealed during a game, if it was displayed during setup, and if it is being revealed in the proper round [that's what the number in the keyword is for], then you get the listed benefit.

We think these are pretty cool, because they add another level of bluffing to the game. Just because you displayed it during setup, you didn't necessarily put it in the right round. Also, getting your opponent scared of what will come next round is a good way to get them to divert from their strategy, and open up opportunities to win.

Anyways, I'll add more next week - actual cards! 1 warrior pack from each culture each week for 5 weeks.

See you guys next week!

Persos ça m'a l'air bien sympa et intéressant. ^^

"Betrayal at Wuihwa Island"...
